Parents and students will have a chance to meet two college admissions officers at the Korea Times College Expo, which will be held at Sa-rang Community Church in Anaheim from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 6.

The annual expo, now in its fifth year, will offer advice from Emily Benoit, a University of Chicago admissions counselor, and Rachel Hagan, a freshman admissions reader at UC Berkeley.

Benoit will talk in depth about the importance of extracurricular activities when applying to schools, while Hagan will focus on admission into the University of California system.

Also included in the event are a 100-page college admissions guide, up-to-date information on the SAT and ACT, considering jobs when choosing a major, admission into medical, pharmacy, military and art schools, tips on essay writing, financial assistance information and preparation tips for parents with students in elementary and middle schools.
